The Marshall County School District will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024. We will continue to monitor road conditions and make an announcement regarding future closings by 5:00 a.m. each morning.
The Marshall County School District will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 15, 2024. With extremely cold temperatures moving into the area, students will be allowed to dress warmly in jeans and layers during the week of January 16-19, 2024. We are also aware of the possibility of inclement weather, and we will be monitoring the situation carefully. We will make decisions regarding school closures and make any announcements by 5 a.m. each morning.

The August school board meeting date has been changed to Thursday, August 10, 2023. The meeting will be at 5:30 at the district office.
Parents,
A student is considered completely registered once they have submitted all of the following:
- All required immunization forms
- Complete lunch application
- Both residency documents
- Online Registration Packet
Any student not fully registered by August 14th will not be allowed to attend classes.
Please check with your school counselor if you’re not sure if your child is completely registered.

At approximately 2:00 on the afternoon of April 27, 2023, two former Byhalia students made entry into Byhalia High School. Both were confronted by the School Resource Officer and escorted out of the building without incident. Neither person had a weapon of any type. Due to this incident, the district is evaluating its security procedures and will make necessary changes to ensure the safety of students and staff.
We are thrilled to announce that the Potts Camp Archery team has achieved back-to-back state championships! Congratulations to the team for their outstanding performance and remarkable dedication. Your hard work and commitment have paid off, and we could not be more proud of you. Keep up the excellent work, and continue to inspire others with your remarkable achievements!
