Marshall County, MS — The Marshall County School District is proud to announce it will receive $1,000,000 in state funding to enhance Career and Technical Education (CTE) and workforce development programs, following the passage of Senate Bill 3062 during the 2026 Mississippi Legislative Session.

This significant investment will support construction, renovation, and equipment upgrades for CTE and workforce training facilities, helping ensure students have access to modern, high-quality learning environments that prepare them for success in today’s workforce.

The funding is part of a broader statewide initiative to strengthen workforce education and expand opportunities for students to gain real-world skills aligned with Mississippi’s economic needs.

“This investment represents a tremendous opportunity for our students and our community,” said Dr. Skelton, Superintendent of Marshall County Schools. “By strengthening our career and technical education programs, we are equipping our students with the skills, experiences, and confidence they need to succeed in college, careers, and beyond. We are grateful to our legislative leaders for their continued support of public education and workforce development in Marshall County.”

District leaders emphasized that this funding will play a key role in expanding hands-on learning opportunities, supporting innovative programming, and preparing students for high-demand careers across multiple industries.
